The Open Exchange provides the following courses for individuals and organisations. Mental Health First Aid – MHFA
Overview:
This training helps mobilise and empower adults in the workplace and community by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.
Learn how to assist adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received, or the crisis resolves using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
Accredited MHFA course that provides MHFA accreditation to every participant who successfully passes.
Key Outcomes:
Learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems in other adults
Learn the skills to speak openly and accurately about mental health
Learn how to respond across a range of situations where the adult may be at risk of harm
Learn the ALGEE Action Plan and be equipped with the skills to help an individual with a mental health problem
Audience: Adults who want to learn how to assist and support other adults. Also a helpful refresher course

Emotional Intelligence and wellbeing
This workshop describes the skills and knowledge required to develop and use emotional intelligence to increase self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management.
Audience: The workshop is helpful to individuals who are required to identify, reflect and think about information they collect from a range of personal and interpersonal sources, and who deal with unpredictable problems that involve relating to others.
